Alan Henry
GOOD. Water clear; 62 degrees; 4.82 feet below pool. Crappie are fair over brush in 5-15 feet of water on minnows. Report by The Bait Shop, Post, Texas.
Arrowhead
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 73 degrees; 7.77 feet below pool. The blue catfish spawn is about to begin. Fish are very shallow biting fresh cut shad or punch bait. Crappie fishing has been bery good at the state park, the fishing pier and the bridges. Report by Brandon Brown, Brown’s Guide Service.
Cisco
GOOD. Water stained; 65 degrees; 11.64 feet below pool. Water is murky after the recent rain, but the fishing is good. Channel catfish are biting cut carp in 5 feet of water. Crappie are good in 10 feet of water on minnows. Lots of bass are jumping chasing minnows on the surface. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.
Coleman
SLOW. Water stained; 68 degrees; 9.49 feet below pool. Crappie are good on jigs at the docks and should be moving back to brush piles.
Ft. Phantom Hill
GOOD. Water stained; 67 degrees; 6.66 feet below pool. The bite remains consistent mix. Bass are good hitting 7 inch curly tailed or straight worms, spinnerbaits and crankbaits in less than 10 feet of water. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows on brush piles. Greenbelt
FAIR. Water normal stain; 62 degrees; 46.00 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in shallow water on jigs and minnows. Sand bass are good in shallow water. Largemouth bass are spawning biting soft plastics. Catfish. Walleye are slow but the quality is good.
Hubbard Creek
GOOD. Water Stained; 67 degrees; 12.09 feet below pool. Bass are in 10 feet of water hitting crankbaits, shaky heads spinnerbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are on brush piles hitting minnows or jigs. Catfish can be caught drifting shallow flats. Report by Camron Wilkerson, Camron’s Quality Crappie Guiding.
Meredith
FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 45.69 feet below pool. Bass are good on minnows and artificials. Catfish are fair with crawlers, minnows, chicken liver and frozen shad. Crappie are fair with artificial baits and minnows. White bass are good on just about anything. Trout are slow on powerbaits, minnows, worms, small spinners, spoons and flies. Walleye are good to excellent on minnows, grubs, and other artificial baits. The bite on all species seems to be improving, with the exception of trout in the stilling basin. Millers Creek
SLOW. Water stained; 63 degrees; 7.26 feet below pool. Due to low lake levels few anglers are on the water. Crappie and catfish are slow with a few bites near the dam.
Nasworthy
FAIR. Water slightly stained; 78 degrees. 0.45 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are holding steady. Bass are good on white chatterbaits flipping soft plastics in the reeds in 1-3 feet of water. Look out for the shad spawn as fish are beginning to key in on this pattern. Crappie are good around boat docks on chartreuse jigs. Catfish are fair on cut bait and stink bait around the dam. O.C. Fisher
SLOW. Water stained; 65 degrees; 52.00 feet below pool. Few reports and anglers fishing due to low lake levels.
O.H. Ivie
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 71 degrees; 31.69 feet below pool. Water clarity is slightly clearing up in the rivers, and clear on the lower end. Largemouth bass are fair to 10 pounds on various chatterbaits, topwaters and soft plastics in 12 feet of water or less. White bass are good, schooling mid lake feeding on shad. Best baits are topwaters, and rattletraps. Catfish are good on the upper end of the lake on stink bait, cut shad and shrimp. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows around hardwood trees in 8-18 feet in The Colorado River. Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.
Oak Creek
SLOW. Water lightly stained; 68 degrees; 16.67 feet below pool. Bass are steady on squarebill crankbaits and small swimbaits. Some anglers have had success using Texas rigged worms in purple and motor oil colors. Crappie and catfish are slow. Report by Bronte Guns and Tackle Pro Staff.
Possum Kingdom
FAIR. Water clear; 70 degrees; 0.02 feet below pool. Stripers fair to good. Live bait is the most consistent way to put fish in the boat but some can be caught trolling lures. Look for them in 30-50 feet. Good colors are white, chartreuse, and silver. Sand bass are fair to slow, and you will definitely have to look for them. They are scattered in 10-20 feet of water using live shad or small slabs and jigs in white or silver. Catfish are good. Cut shad is producing good numbers of fish in 2-10 feet and 40-60 feet of water. Water clarity is steady at 4-10 feet of visibility. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service. Proctor
GOOD. Water normal stain; 65 degrees; 12.18 feet below pool. Largemouth bass can be caught on soft plastics. Crappie are good in shallow and deep water. Catfish bite has slowed. Hybrid stripers are fair. Ramps are closed, but it is possible to launch a boat from the gravel at Buffalo Springs. Fishing from a kayak is possible.
Spence
SLOW. Water stained; 67 degrees. 47.99 feet below pool. Bass have been caught using square bill crankbaits in shad patterns. The spinnerbait bite has been working later in the day when the wind starts picking up. Blue catfish are biting on fresh cut bait. Report by Bronte Guns and Tackle Pro Staff.
Stamford
SLOW. Water stained; 65 degrees; 2.44 feet below pool. Catfish are biting in the rocks on minnows. Bass are scattered and the bite is slow. White bass are slow in 7 feet of water with bigger crappie jigs or minnows. Crappie are slow with many smaller sized catches. Monster gar are mating along the shorelines.
Twin Buttes
SLOW. Water stained. 72 degrees; 33.73 feet below pool. Channel catfish are good on cheese bait in shallow water, with males holding in deeper water. White bass are good chasing after the shad hitting topwaters when there is surface action. Crappie are fair but should improve in heavy cover in 8-12 feet of water with jigs or live minnows. White River
SLOW. Water normal stain; 68 degrees; 19.77 feet below pool. Crappie are good using minnows in the shallows. Catfish are being caught on cut bait, minnows and worms from the docks or banks. White bass can be caught trolling near the island with a crankbait.
