Braunig
GOOD. Water stained, 82 degrees. Redfish are scattered in pods all over the lake due to the weather 15-23 feet of water hitting plastics and some spoons. Largemouth bass are still in the weeds and along some rock lines using crankbaits and plastic worms. Catfish are on the rock lines using cheese bait and liver don’t have a report for the bank fishing. Report by Harry Lamb, Alamo Texas Fishing.
Calaveras
GOOD. Water slightly stained, 84 degrees. Redfish are scattered from the dam to Lone Oak and Rocky Cove in 10-20 feet of water using plastics, shrimp and crawfish. Catfish are on rock lines and rock piles using cut shad and cheese bait. Bank anglers are catching redfish from the dam to Spider Island on crawfish, shrimp and cut bait. Choke Canyon
GOOD. Water stained; 74 degrees; 28.84 feet below pool. Bass are excellent using imitation shad in the morning, then switching to Carolina or Texas rigs on main lakes points as the day progresses. Report by Evan Coleman, Big Bassin Fishing. Bass are good in shallow water using crankbaits, or spinnerbaits. Catfish are good on cut bait or stink bait in 10-15 feet of water. Crappie are good in 20-25 feet of water on minnows or grubs. Report by Scott Springer, Fish Choke Canyon Lake.
Corpus Christi Lake
FAIR. 67 degrees; 9.31 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are similar and high winds persist. Lake levels are low so keep an eye out for newly exposed logs. Catfish are fair in 4-6 feet of water on punch bait. Drum are fair in 5-10 feet of water on worms and shrimp. White bass are fair in 5-10 feet of water on live minnows and jigs. Crappie are slow. Alligator gar are good on cut carp in the river channel. Report provided by Captain Damian Hubbs, Top Gun Outfitters.
Falcon
GOOD. Water stained; 75 degrees; 39.90 feet below pool. Trophy and keeper blue catfish are good in 3-10 feet of water with cut bait, or palm sized live tilapia for bigger catfish. Channel catfish are good with small shad, stink bait or shrimp along vertical structure in 5-10 feet of water. Gar are slow, but excellent bow fishing near the mouth of the Tigers. Crappie are slow with many undersized catches. Bass are good in 3-15 feet of water flipping a creature bait or jig, or throwing a spinnerbait into flooded bushes. Report by Ram Reyes, Ram Outdoors.
Texana
SLOW. Water stained; 68 degrees; 0.67 feet below pool. Catfish are fair on the south end. All other species are slow.
